The Number On The Scale Doesn’t Mean A Thing
I want to tell you about how the number on the scale is just that, a number. Here’s an example.
So, you’ve decided it’s time to get your health and fitness in check. You’ve been working out for what feels like forever.
You’re exercising regularly and your nutrition is on point. Everything is going great, and you can’t wait to get on the scale because of how good you feel!! You hop on the scale, excited to see that number start dwindling away. Only to see the same number, or worse… you’ve gained weight!
This was my exact scenario and experience. I was discouraged to say the very least. All this work, time and effort for NOTHING! Even though I was frustrated, I decided to take updated photos and measurements. Then, I compared them side by side with what I took before I started my journey. I honestly could NOT believe my eyes.
This continued to happen in my journey for quite a while! In these next set of photos there is only a 0.2lb difference. Not 2 pounds, ZERO.2 pounds.
All that to say, if you are going to be embarking on a new health journey this new year, make sure to take your before pictures and measurements. It is a MUCH better indicator than the scale. Honestly, you might as well throw the scale out. At least hide it for a bit?! Base your success off how you feel… because that’s the most important part. Although I know we make changes and goals based on how we look, too.
If you must…
If you absolutely must have a scale, make sure it’s one that tells you ALL the things, not just weight. Here are my favorites CLICK–> THIS ONE or THIS ONE
